We had the pleasure of working with Alethea to buy our first starter home in 2010 and had an amazing experience. We didn’t know what to expect, but Alethea helped us through the process and quickly learned what we were looking for. We were so pleased with our experience that we called Alethea again this year to help us sell our starter home and buy a new home.
This market was certainly different than it was in 2010, but once again Alethea helped us through the process. After 5 years she still remembers our eccentricities and the small details that both my husband and I get hung up on when looking for a home. We were both so amazed with the lengths she went to help us through both the buying and selling process. We had 20+ offers on our house in the first 36 hours of listing. Finding a new house was a bit more of a struggle as our budget wasn’t very flexible, but Alethea worked with us, and our busy schedules, until we found our new home.
Alethea clearly loves her job, and it shows in the work that she does. She has a wealth of knowledge about things I wouldn’t have even imagined were related to real estate. Alethea was with us the entire way from the moment we began planning to sell our home until… well actually months after buying our new home she’s still sending us reminders to double check an issue that the previous owners of our home agreed to fix. There is so much more to buying and selling a home than looking up listings… Alethea knows it well, and it was so much fun to have her walk us through it all. If you’re looking for a new home or planning to sell a home, you’re going to be spending a lot of time with a real estate agent. Alethea makes the process fun and it’s more like hanging out with family. I can’t imagine that there is a better real estate agent in North Texas.

Alethea walked us through the entire process from sale to purchase with professionalism and poise. My wife and I hadn’t bought a new home in 18 years and we didn’t have a clue what step to take first. A friend of ours put us in contact with Alethea. She made it very easy, we just followed her lead and what seemed to be a mountain became a mole hill.
Our house sold on the first day it was put on the market without us doing a thing to it. And it sold for full price! She knew exactly what direction we needed to take and it was smooth and easy.

By the end of the process she was like a family member I had to say goodbye to at the end of a visit.

My company transferred me to the North Dallas area with a tight time table of 90 days to complete my relocation. The real estate market was much more aggressive than anywhere I had previously been. I had received contact information for several local Realtors when I first arrived but I was fortunate enough to make the acquaintance of a local business professional who highly recommended Alethea Busby. I contacted Alethea right away. I was a first time home buyer with almost no expectation what to expect from the experience or the local market. Alethea was able to put me right at ease. She had properties for me to look at the very next day. With each property she carefully paid attention to what I liked and did not like. When my family arrived a couple weeks later to help with the house hunt, Alethea brought them right up to speed on our progress and was equally attentive to their housing preferences as well.
The magic moment was a meet up with Alethea to see two houses in a community but she asked me to meet her at a different address. This home had just come on the market. It threw me off at first because we had agreed to look at the other two but she insisted I see this new listing first. It was home. I saw the other two houses that evening but Alethea knew it and so did I. I asked her how she did it… how she knew this new listing she slipped in there was it. She smiled and said, “I know you and I know your family. I knew what you were looking for.” Wow! Did she ever.
At closing, I was reminiscing about the summer adventure of house hunting with Alethea and was recounting Alethea’s response to my question of how she did it. My daughter chimed in and said “Alethea Busby: The Realtor who knows what you want even if you don’t.” How true.
My summer began with contracting a Realtor to help me find a house and it ended by enjoying a meal with a friend in our new home. Alethea Busby is that friend. We’re so thankful for her professionalism, knowledge, and expertise; which are second to none. But in the end, it is her friendship we value most.

In early 2012, my then fiancé wanted to sell his home in Frisco. Our wedding date was mid-April and I was hoping we could find a larger house before then.
